Tomorrow…

Tonight, I sleep, but tomorrow…

Tomorrow, I report.

I’d probably make a terrible executive or someone else who needs a good long term memory, because I lbp_emailjust got my LittleBigPlanet beta key from Gamespot, after an arduous and grueling week of waiting and watching other beta key contests going much smoother, with winners getting keys within hours of entering, and all is forgiven.

What’s happening to me? The collective short term memory is what I hate about the internet. Well, maybe not hate, but I mock it a lot. I guess I should give myself a little time to think about Gamespot’s fate in my bookmarks. In the mean time, 25% downloaded and counting. Impressions of the beta later tonight.

YeeeeeeehAAAAAAAWWW!

So, yesterday, I was working on making a database of sorts using OpenOffice.org Base and MySQL on my laptop (don’t know how it’s all going to work yet), and I somehow managed to smash our glass coffee table. Somewhat cut up my fingers. It makes it a bit difficult to do things (mostly, anything that involves water), but I should be fine. We did end up with a new coffee table and dining table when all was said and done. Yay, new furniture!

How many of you have beaten Grand Theft Auto 4? I sure haven’t. It usually takes me a while to get into these games. Like last time, I just suddenly realized that GTA: San Andreas was pretty fun. Shortly after, I beat it and the two before it back to back. This one is taking me even longer get a feel for though. The main character, Niko, just doesn’t make sense to me yet. He seems like he wants to be a good guy, and the game allows for you play it that way.

Most of the time.

There are, however, points in the story where suddenly, no matter what you do, you have to kill people. I’ve barely carjacked anyone, much less hit anyone, yet these situations arise and it just feels like the game is fighting the way I want to play. I guess it is called "Grand Theft Auto," but if the game makers give me these choices, don’t just half-ass the consequences. I want the whole thing.

Anyways, I’m going to add GTA4 to my game progress bars and keep you posted.
