09 Jul 2007 PS Store Supplements or PSSS
 |  Category: General, Playstation 3  | Leave a Comment

Um, yeah.

There always seems to be more stuff on the web regarding the PS3 than there is in the Playstation Store. While I think its probably just a slow ramp up, it can occasionally be frustrating to have nothing to watch on the shiny, and now cheaper, black monolith.

So while we wait for Sony, Storpi.com introduces Playstation Store Supplements (listed in the page links on the right) that can be viewed directly from your PS3 through the built in web browser. To start things off, I’ve put up a nice 22-minute Heavenly Sword special that aired in the UK this past week. I haven’t seen it with sound yet, but there’s some footage showing off the really nice facial animations this game’s going to have. Enjoy.

08 Jul 2007 Another Sunday

Image temorarily unavailable.  (What’s a Sunday picture anyways?)

Back from vacation and looking forward to E3.  I’m not really sure how I’m going to manage over the next week though, with classes starting for me on Monday, full time job, and four days of game news overload.  I was away from my computer for four days and already it took me a several hours just to catch back up with the news.  Plus I have The Darkness still to go through, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Tomb Raider Legends, Super Stardust HD, and the demo of Overlord.  It’s going to be very busy.

Speaking of Super Stardust HD, I was in the top 300 last Monday, then in one day, I fell to around 800.  Then, earlier today I was barely in the top 2000.  With a 21 million point score.  You people out there.  Wow.  Good show.

Anyways, stay tuned for some E3 goodness on your respective online stores and of course, right here.  Nite.

04 Jun 2007 Woefully Out of Date

Yeah, I haven’t updated in a long bit now. Besides school work and work work, both full-time, I haven’t really gotten around to writing in the blog much, but you know that already.

The really sad part is that I have a great abundance of what I think would be really cool ideas for this site, especially PS3 owners. Sorry, 360 people, you don’t have a browser, so it’d be hard to cater this blog to your system, but I think of something for you guys and girls too. Heh. Velocity Girl.

Anyways, a few of words then, eh? Pirates III was great, loved the ending. Odin’s Sphere is really pretty, and pretty fun too. Really wish they would open more slots in the Warhawk beta, and ****** the **** beta. Getting kinda ****** and *****, though pool is fun and **** Day. Haven’t gotten Crush in my store yet so I haven’t seen it, and Brooktown High got lost in the mail. Really curious about how that one is. Can Americans really make a dating sim?

See you again before the end of the week…

14 May 2007 Storpi Snack May 14th

Peanuts are snacks.Did you know that you can watch episodes of Heroes on NBC.com? It’s pretty neat, and if you haven’t seen this series, you should check it out.

Calling All Cars wasn’t exactly the pick up and play experience I thought it would be. First of all, for a game to be totally pick up and play, you should never have to look up the controls and be able to figure out how to play it. My first round, I couldn’t figure out how everyone was driving around so fast. After a while though, you get the controls, you get the pacing, and then the game is just really fun. Haven’t played single player yet though.

2.00? Already? Well, according to Wiki’s chart, the Playstation 3 has had a firmware update just about every month. If these rumored improvements are in the release pipeline, I can’t wait. XMB access from in game, anyone? Next time someone asks me how Calling All Cars is while I’m in game, I might be able to answer. I guess we’ll (maybe) see at Sony’s Gamer’s Day tomorrow. more…

11 May 2007 New Sections
 |  Category: General, Playstation 3  | Leave a Comment

Summer is just around the corner, so its time to add some new sections to this slowly growing corner of the web that I call Storpi. It’s not much now, but I’ve added a list of items that are available on the Playstation Store, which I’ll try to update as often as possible.

I wish that Sony would give us some sort of heads up on what’s going to be released before the day of release. Finding out what exactly is coming out every week has been a source of slight frustration for me, so these new pages are supposed to help you all with that. So as soon as I know, you can know too.

Also, I also want to use these pages as an experiment on making a web page to be viewed on a PS3. Why would you want to do that when you can just go to the Playstation Store if you’re on a PS3? Check back and find out.
