Clearly, there is no way that I can post everything related to E309 in the coming days, and why would I? It’s going to be everywhere, Gametrailers, IGN, G4TV.com, 1UP, and more blogs than you could ever read in a four day time span.
What I can do is tell you a bit about what I see though, thus Trailer Talk. See, rarely is a trailer for a new game just about pretty visuals. Most of the time, elements of gameplay are hidden within, even in the case of pre-rendered trailers. So when I see some of that, I’ll let you know here. Shall we?
- Blur Debut Trailer – It looks like Activision Blizzard’s multiplatform answer to Mario Kart is going to feature at least four different powerups: Shock, Shunt, Barge, and Nitro. The game will also support a lot of players for a car combat centric racer. From the trailer, it’s hard to tell exactly how many, but I’d say at least 12 to 16.
Graphically, Blur doesn’t seem to be on par with Bizzare Creations’ previous PRG racing game, which is somewhat sad, but the feel of the trailer, music and all, seems to indicate they are going for the Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, younger audience on this one.
