Umm... no. I’ve noticed that some of you have PS3′s, but for some reason or another you’re not using them. Not really, anyways. Sure it’s a great Blu-ray player, but it’s a lot more than that, and if you’re not using it you are missing out. This upcoming series of articles will help you get the most bang for your buck on the PS3.

Now, you might be saying, "Well, I’m not a gamer," or "I play Wii because I’m a casual gamer," to which I would say, "Fine, that’s great, but let me tell you about the PS3." It’s true that the Playstation line of high profile games has traditionally been associated with more hardcore fare like God of War, Gran Turismo, or Final Fantasy, but as the casual gaming segment has grown, Playstation has risen to meet the need with fun, accessible, and in many cases, cheap games just for you.

For those who don’t game at all, the great thing about the PS3 is that beyond being just a game console and Blu-ray player, it is also equipped with some impressive home media and internet communication functions that make it an ideal device to complement your home network and home theater set up, connecting your computers and digital media to your living room.

So come with me and see what you might be missing.

Just as the title says, now we can see it action. From the Playstation Blog:

Those of us with PSP’s will be happy to hear that the next firmware update, version 5.00, will be arriving soon. Some of the improvements include a new sleep timer function, for people who like to listen to their PSP right before bed but don’t want to leave the thing on all night, and a full keyboard text entry option in case people still haven’t gotten used to using the number pad-esque typing style currently in place.

Both nice additions but small fries next to the biggest and most anticipated new feature coming to PSP in v5.00, the ability to access the Playstation Store from any wireless hotspot directly on the handheld itself. No more borrowing a friend’s PS3 or going through a PC to PSP transfer process, soon we’ll be able to buy PSP stuff the way it should have been from the beginning.
